Green Hosting
In a world of finite resources, each one of us must ensure that the world after us, the world we will leave our children and our children's children to live in, would at the very least be not worse than the world we entered and grew in. That is why we are making conscious efforts to help sustain our planet healthy, our air fit to breathe and our sky shining blue.
We support planting trees that will filter out carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of the modern world and produce oxygen by participating in a voluntary carbon dioxide offset programme run by Ausante. We have acquired an offset for 10 tonnes of carbon dioxide (see certificate), that by our calculations has covered twice all the CO2 emissions made by producing and shipping Serveriem.LV servers and workstations, supplying them with power and Internet, as well as maintaining office space for running Serveriem.LV business.
Serveriem.LV is the first hosting provider in Latvia to offer hosting with a fully offsetted CO2 footprint. Moreover, our total offset covers our footprint by at least 200% since the beginning of Serveriem.LV business till the middle of next year.
In addition, we must also note that Latvia has the third greenest electricity in Europe. CO2 footprint for 1kW is just 104g (based on latest Latvenergo data) - ten times less than, for example, in Poland.
